Mario Van Peebles, who was directing the Roots Mini Series at the time, found us playing out at Jackson Square and bought a cd from us. As he was reviewing the script for the wedding scene he was listening to our cd and heard “The Pirate Song” playing. He decided that this scene must have our song in it. So he got in contact with us and we rerecorded the song with a Jambe Drummer for the scene. We got to be on set for the scene and watch the magic happen as everyone danced to our music. This scene has Wael Elhalaby playing with Forest Whitaker. Above is a photo with us all on set together.
